Hi baby –

I’m back. Just had a little breakfast, 2 hard boiled eggs and a handful of unsalted almonds with a coffee and some water. I mentioned it yesterday, but last night was the summer party at my office so everyone was drinking and this morning the office dude brought in some hot bagels for everyone. Really nice gesture and something I always encourage if you’re in a group setting, real alpha move. I unfortunately am trying to lose some weight before you come along so I passed – really hard for me.

So, I was thinking as I was falling asleep about a few more things I wanted to tell you. Here are two more pieces of advice:

-       If you’re at a party, leave before you think you want to leave. If you wait 10-15 more minutes, you’ll regret it.

-       Never be the first person at a party, plan to be there a half hour late, and then get there 15 mins after that

I’m so excited to meet you! I’ll probably say this a million more times but I mean it. I can’t wait to see you fall asleep in my arms. This morning in the shower I licked your moms’ belly and I told her I’m gonna lick you too. I know, sounds SUPER weird but it is hilarious. Drive by licking your mom will definitely be a favorite past time. She gets all squirmy and yells stop but I know she secretly thinks it’s funny too. Maybe she just loves me so much she pretends she doesn’t like it so I laugh. But I’m pretty sure she actually doesn’t like it LOL.

Oh I was also thinking this morning that I hope you’re not one of those annoying kids who wants to watch the same movie over and over and over and over again. I’m pretty sure everybody goes through that phase but here’s hoping you’re different.

So this weekend it’s supposed to be 98 degrees both days. I need to take the car in for an inspection/oil change but I think we’re going to hit Buy Buy Baby and scope out some strollers. I am PUMPED. I don’t know why but finding a dope stroller is high on my priority list. I think it’s kind of like a car for kids. I seriously can’t stop looking when I see them on the street. I know their names now and when I’m on the phone with your mom I’ll be like “ohhh that’s a nice uppababy!” and she thinks I’m a nutjob. We talked about going to the beach this weekend too but I think that might be a little too hot.

I think that’s it for today, might revisit this later and add if anything pops up.
